Im currently using 2017 macbook pro (specs are in screenshot), I mainly use photoshop and if i open 5-6 large size raw photos at the same time, the photoshop would start acting weird. If you were to switch from your 2015 Pro to the M1 MacBook (even the Air), it will feel like a whole new World. Only the existence of AMDs Ryzen CPUs made Intel add more Cores (13' got 4 Cores, 15' got 6 and 8 Cores). Core count was the same, so was CPU-Benchmark numbers. To determine which was more performant I decided to use Geekbench to take benchmarks and compare. Intel made basicly almost 0 progress from 2015 to 2017. From the specs I assumed my personal computer would have the better performance (but that would be odd given it’s age), although my work computer does seem to handle Docker better.
